Career & Return to Work Coaching

Career Coaching enables you to understand what motivates and drives you in relation to your career as well as to identify your key strengths, skills and qualities.  This builds confidence and clarity and leads to you taking control of your career, overcoming any barriers and actively managing your career related decisions.  You can benefit from career coaching if you are looking to return to work after a career break, want to make a career change, manage and progress your career, set up your own business, increase your skills set or are a recent school leaver or graduate.

I am a licensed Career Coach, MCIPD qualified HR professional and studied Psychology at degree level. I have over 15 years of HR experience in both the Not for Profit and Private Sectors and have also worked for an Outplacement company, giving me first-hand experience on both sides of the recruitment process as well as experience of working with individuals who are going through or have recently gone through a redundancy process.

I also understand the emotional and practical challenges of returning to work and juggling work, personal and family commitments as I took a career break in 2014 and made a career change following the birth of my second daughter.  Through listening to other individuals talk about their careers prior to having children, and their desire to return to work, this inspired me to retrain as a Career Coach and set up WrightCareer and I have been coaching individuals and groups since 2015.  I believe individuals should be able to use their skills and experience to work in a role that is fulfilling and enables them to have a work life balance.  I feel passionate that people should be given the opportunity, support, and guidance to recognise their potential, build their confidence, gain clarity on what their next career move will be and feel clear on what steps they need to take to achieve this.

"Rachel has shone a light on key aspects of ‘what makes me tick’ so that I can gear my working life and personal development around those essential drivers. With each session, we drew nearer to the target of what it is, that I really want to be spending my time doing. It was an unexpectedly, eye-opening experience. Even the exercises I completed between sessions were fun. I wish I had done this years ago! With Rachel’s guidance, I have made positive changes to my career that will see me move into a more creative area that I always admired but never recognised was a central motivator for me. I thoroughly recommend Rachel Wright’s Career Coaching for anyone wanting to change direction or enhance their current career."
